BHC Chicken Secures Vietnam Rollout Through Hao Open Foods Master Franchise Deal
Hao Open Foods Vietnam has signed a ten-year master franchise agreement for BHC Chicken. The programme commits to at least 50 restaurants, with potential to reach 120, across major Vietnamese cities.

Ten-year Vietnam development agreement
Hao Open Foods Vietnam has signed a ten-year master franchise agreement with Dining Brands Group, the owner of South Korean fried-chicken brand BHC Chicken.
The Straits Times reported the agreement on 23 September 2026, citing a company statement issued on 17 September. The deal provides for at least 50 restaurants over the next decade, with the potential to expand to as many as 120.
Major cities form the rollout plan
The programme covers major Vietnamese markets including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. According to the article’s main report, the first outlet opened at Vincom Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City on 12 September, with three additional openings planned by the end of 2026.
The agreement marks Singapore-based Hao Open Foods’ first venture into Vietnam. Dining Brands Group, formerly BHC Inc, is headquartered in Seoul.
Expansion funding and further brand discussions
Hao Open Foods said owner and chief executive Tan Kim Yong injected an initial US$1 million in April 2026 to support the expansion, with further funding to be provided as required.
The source also reported that Dining Brands was working on awarding the operator Vietnam master franchise rights for its Changgo43 Korean barbecue brand. That prospective arrangement is separate from the signed BHC Chicken agreement and should not be treated as a completed deal.
The 50-to-120 restaurant figures describe future development plans, not the brand’s current operating store count in Vietnam.
